Ajab Prem Kahaani!!!!!

Yes, my readers at last I bring to you the Ajab Prem Kahani that I had promised. This love story has no extra 'i's or no extra 'k's. But then its Ajab and has survived every storm and calamity for the past 36 years now. Ok, action replay, cut to circa 1972. Our heroine is just out of college and lands a job in a Govt. office, yes Govt. jobs back then were sexy. She was very much the siren of that era curvaceous, long hair, saree clad, hey but she was no chui mui gaon ki gori, she was a Garam Dharam fan. Fiery and feisty a a hindi movie buff, first day first show type. She dreamt of being Mrs. Garam Dharam one day, till our hero showed up. Our hero was anything but Garam Dharam. A hard core bong who dedicated his life to 2 things like a true bong: 1) Rabindra Sangeet and 2) Footballl. His knowledge on hindi films well was just like the shape of the rosogolla he cherished. But then Rab ne Bana di Jodi and they just bumped into each other one day. Ms. Garam Dharam was not impressed by Mr. Footballer and vice versa both saw each other as alliens from Mars and Venus. Time passed by and gradually as they say opposite attracts Ms. Garam Dharam and Mr. Footballer felt that there can be a scope of romance somewhere. So then started the love story which shook the entire Govt. Office, one party sang turu ru turu tera mera pyaar shuru, the other sang Tomaye chini go chini ogo bideshini. Then it was the year 1975 love marriage was not cool, typically filmy style parents opposed, society laughed but Mr. Footballer was determined this time to score the goal and married Ms. Garam Dharam.

It was 36 years ago, today Ms. Garam Dharam who became Mrs. Footballer is busy searching for a match for her younger daughter Ms. Almost Single. Mr. Footballer everyday gives gyaan on fitness to Ms. Almost single. Ms. Almost Single is busy writing a blog on the Ajab love story. Maa - Baba this one is for you. Those who think two different people can never have a happy married life my parent challenge that theory. 36 years on and still the romance continues.
